SOAS Unison and UCU joint local pay consultation
Wednesday 4th June, 12:30-14:00PM, SALT lecture theatre
The purpose of this open meeting is to share some options and get members’ general opinions to shape this year’s Joint Local Claim for 2025/2026. As opposed to the national pay offer, this consultation surrounds local issues, for instance London weighting and role grading.
Lunch will be provided from 12:30.
The meeting will be hybrid, with options for in-person and online. You will receive a calendar invite shortly with a link to the online meeting.

What is a pay consultation?
This is when a trade union discusses proposals to increase pay with its members. We need to find out what you need before we can negotiate with employers.
What is UCU?
UCU is the other recognised trade union at SOAS, representing the voice of academic staff.
