SOAS UNISON members will have received or should shortly receive a letter from the Electoral Reform Services which will contain your ballot paper.
You are being asked to vote if you are prepared to take part in strike action over the School’s failure to commit to no compulsory redundancies as a result of the One Professional Services restructure.
The SOAS UNISON Branch Executive position is that you should vote YES in the ballot.
Our hope is that a strong vote for action will force SOAS management to start to listen to staff and UNISON and make the commitment we have been asking for. We must, however, be prepared to take action if necessary.
It is vital that every member votes and your voice is heard.
To vote you simply need to place an X in the box next to your chosen answer, fold the ballot paper and place it in the envelope that came with it and then to post this as soon as possible. You do not need a stamp. The ballot paper must be returned by Thursday 9 May 2019 at the latest for your vote to count.
If you have not received your ballot paper by, please get in touch with Branch Secretary Sandy Nicoll, via email@example.com or on Ext 4980
A leaflet setting out the SOAS UNISON Branch Executive’s position in asking you to vote YES for strike action is attached. We would encourage you to read this ahead of casting your ballot.
