The results of the SOAS UNISON Consultative Ballot on Industrial Action gave a resounding mandate for industrial action with 97.62% voting for strike action out of a turnout of 77.06% in the event compulsory redundancies result from the One Professional Service Restructure process.
The result of the SOAS UNISON OPS Consultative Ballot was as follows:
Total ballots distributed: 218
Total number of ballots returned: 168
Percentage voting of those balloted: 77.06%
Total voting Yes to strike action in the event of compulsory redundancies: 164
Percentage Voting Yes of those who voted: 97.62%
Total voting No to strike action in the event of compulsory redundancies: 4
Percentage Voting No of those who voted: 2.38%
Percentage Voting Yes of all those entitled to vote: 75.23% (164 of 218)
